what is the best mario game ever?

Hello all you what do u think is the best mario game ever? i personally think it is super smash brothers melee but, u may think i'm completely off my rocker. what is your opinion

I don't really think of super smash brothers being a mario game yeah mario is the star for nintendo so hes in it but the game also has a bunch of different characters. Also this is for nintendo-nintendo 64 not gamecube, just saying.

The best mario game where your just mario/luigi is Mario 3.

I would say Super Mario RPG is the best, followed by Super Mario Bros 3. Those were some great classic games.

I'm torn between Super Mario Bros. 3 and Mario RPG. I loved both of the games and play both whenever I get a chance to. Either one you can play a thousand times and not get tired of it.

Super Mario 3 was the best in the Mario series hands down. With the SNES I did enjoy Mario Paint. The animation and music creating functions were awesome!

Mario World on the Super Nintendo - was perfect IMO. I liked Mario64, but always look back to the Snes version..
